Krizek attended Groveton High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University. His professional experience includes serving as chief counsel and vice president in charge of fundraising for Christian Relief Services Charities Inc. He has served on the State Central Committee of the Democratic Party of Virginia and on the 8th Congressional District Democratic Committee. He has served as chairman of the Mount Vernon Democratic Committee and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.
